Embroidery Extraordinaire

Well that title might be patting my back a little too much. Thanksgiving I decided to buy new cloth napkins. Washed and ironed. Then, I decided they needed a little something more. Out came my sewing machine.

I picked a super simple pattern.

Voila! A little something extra to spice up my napkins.

Once I added the napkin holders and a set the table, they looked really great!

Just don’t look too close at my messy table. This was way before I cleaned and set it for our Thanksgiving Feast.

I’m sure any fun stitching would work, don’t need to have an embroidery machine.

Christmas Clutch Encore!

I’ve bet you’ve all been on pins and needles wondering out this clutch turned out.  Well without further ado let me show you.  One of the oddest things to me, don’t mind the fact that I normally avoid using zippers like the plague, but the purse was 11.5″ long, but the zipper request was 14″. I’m sure there is a reason for it, but I have no idea why. Still drives me nuts that I used such a long zipper. Eh.

I used the gray material for the inside and the sage for outside.

Trying to figure out how to get the inside wrapped around was like a puzzle. Still not 100% sure how I accomplished it, but I did manage to do it.

I told my niece I would make her a purse, but seriously this was not an easy task. I’m sure I’ll try again, but for now I’ll enjoy the purse that was forgotten and not used. Yup, you read that right. I forgot I made this, the holidays went by and my poor little clutch was left out. I guess I’ll have something new to use next year!
